Welcome to WLL Softball!Little League is the world's largest organized youth sports program. The parents and volunteers of Woodinville Little League Softball are committed to providing a safe, beneficial, and fun experience for our girls.
Prior to Little League, practically the only way girls could round the bases was by playing kickball or slowpitch. Today, Little League style softball, referred to as fastpitch, is the predominate type of softball played by girls throughout the United States with over 1.2 million girls playing last year.
In 1992, the Washington Interscholastic Activity Association, WIAA, held its first state fastpitch softball tournament. By 2002, the WIAA dropped the slowpitch tournament entirely and Little League style fastpitch softball is now the game played by all of our junior high schools, senior high schools, the nationally ranked U.W. Huskies, and the U.S. Olympic team.
Woodinville Little League softball gives every girl, ages 5-16, an opportunity to play softball at a level appropriate to their age and skills. As part of a team they can make new friends, develop their abilities in practice, and everyone plays in the games. Through this process Woodinville Little League's mission is to assist our youth in developing the qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork, and physical well being.
Please join us for a terrific season.
