WLL TourneyBracketsRules· Minors Tournament begins on Sunday, May 11. · Majors Tournament begins on Monday, May 12. · The Majors and Minors Tournaments end on or before Thursday, May 22. · All regular season makeup games must be completed before the start of the tournament. · Tournaments are double-elimination format - please refer to the brackets on the website. · Tournament bracket seedings are as follows: o Majors - based on regular season Win-Loss record. Ties will be decided as follows: § Head to head record between tied teams § If still tied then run differential between tied teams § If still tied then coin flip by Umpire-in-Chief o Minors – based on the Tournament Committee using rating criteria agreed in advance by Minors Managers. · Tournaments will be played under regular WLL season rules. · Both home and visitor teams are responsible for setting up the fields. · Home team for each game will be determined by coin flip at the field prior to the game. · Tournament games will be 6 innings or until a winner is determined, with the following exceptions: o If continuing the game does not interfere with the beginning of another scheduled game, and as long as it is safe to continue play, the game may continue into as many extra innings as are necessary to determine a winner. o If another game is scheduled on the same field, the preceding game must end 30 minutes before the scheduled start of the next game. No new inning can start within ten minutes of this deadline, and a ten minute grace period will be allowed to finish an inning in progress. o Any incomplete inning not finished during the grace period will not count and the game score will revert to the score of the last complete inning. o If the official score is tied at the last completed inning as defined above and the two teams with the Tournament Director can schedule to continue the game from where it was stopped at another time without impacting the tournament schedule, then every attempt to do so should be taken to allow for completion of the game. If scheduling the continuation of the game is not possible before impact the tournament schedule, then a winner will be chosen by a coin toss by the plate umpire. o Home plate umpire will keep the official time. · Teams may practice during their regularly scheduled practice times during the Tournament with the following guidelines: o If a team's practice field is in use for a game, you may attempt to find an open field to practice by contacting the Field Scheduler. o Teams may not bump a lower level team's practice for their own. o Teams may go to the batting cages. o Teams can practice after completing the Tournament while waiting for the TOC to begin. o Teams may practice after being eliminated subject to field availability. · The home team must submit the scores and pitch count report promptly by email to the Coaching Coordinator at wlbbcoach@hotmail.com using the 2008 pitch count summary.
