The BOD At-Large member for the remainder of the 2007-2008
year has been eliminated.

Report by Don Gracia
- Balance Sheet:
- $89,997.51 as of January 31, 2008
- Income October 2007 thru January 2008 - $74,847.81
(Registration Fees and corporate matching donations)
- Expenses October 2007 thru January 2008 - $15,606.66
(Registration expenses, Field/Room fees, and various other administrative
costs)
- Budget 2007-2008 year
- Projected income: $99,465.00
- Projected expenses: $109,517.55
- Projected funds available: -$10,052.55. Will be dipping
into surplus of $30,751.05 to cover the difference.
- Need help with getting budget for Softball and Jr/Sr.
- Motion: Approval of budget as currently stated and allow
for amendments as needed and approved by the Board. PASSED. Unanimous voice
call.
- Microsoft Matching Income – Need to communicate to all
volunteers about corporate time matching for volunteering. Companies like
Microsoft match time. $8.038.39 donated/matched in 2006-2007. 2007-2008 budget
is expecting $14,500. Note that some matching donations for last season
weren’t received until this season.
- Registration Fees – Continued investigation into use LL
Int’l registration process or another company due to cost of processing
registrations through CMI.
- Breakaway bases have been purchased for school fields, and
are categorized under Field Improvements
Safety
Report by Roger Kacmarcik
- Mandatory Manager’s Safety Meeting on February
13th at Cottage Lake Elementary Cafeteria.
- Update and replenishment of first aid kits/safety kits for
Managers. Will be updating and replenishing equipment boxes at the elementary
school.
- Verification of portable defibrillator machine at the NAF.
Umpires
Umpires meetings on March 13 and March 20. Posted to the
Calendar.
Reminder that Managers need to lobby their teams for umpires
(and get them to fill out volunteer forms)
NAF/D8
- NAF Board is trying to reduce the usage fees their charge
the various leagues.
- Billing will be coming as two invoices.
- There is an update to field usage rules. Details to be
posted and communicated to Managers.
- Sponsorship signage at NAF: No more wood signs. Vinyl or
other similar material.
- There is discussion of Field sponsorship by specific
companies or entities.
- Bleachers improvement are in discussion and underway.
- Snack Shack. Needs a new permit for hot food. Currently,
they can only sell candy/pop/pre-packaged.
Fundraising
- Discussion of doing our own Jamboree BBQ instead of using
food concession for that event.
- Discussion of doing a Board/Umpire Appreciation BBQ
instead of a dinner to help reduce costs.
Player Registration
As of January 31, 2008
- Baseball – 355 (down from 379 for 2006-2007)
- Softball – 89 (no comparable numbers since WLL combined
with Woodinville West last year)
- Jr/Sr Baseball – 30 (increase from 24 for 2006-2007)
- Jr/Sr Softball – 3 (no comparable numbers)
- This includes those on the waiting list
- At least 10 more softball
registrations coming soon.

- Motion to accept list of Managers. PASSED. Unanimous
voice call.
- Motion to target T-Ball team sizes to 10 players,
effective immediately. Approved.
- Player Review for 2008
- Majors, Minors, and Softball player review took place on
February 1st and 2nd.
- Thank you to all who helped make this a success.
- Schedule for 2009 player review. Jan 30-31, 2009, but no
firm reservation yet.

Schedules
Report by Jim Carroll
- Fields reserved for practices and games
- Available practice slots have been identified. Managers
will choose at the upcoming Safety Meeting
- Working on game schedule. Have a tentative schedule, just
working out the remaining conflicts. Plan to present to the BOD at the March
4th meeting for approval.
- Trying to work around various school events—Math Olympiad,
Camp Casey, Band & String Concerts.
- Scheduling for WLL Tournament and TOC have also been set.
- There will be games on Jamboree day, with a break in the
middle of the day for field usage for fundraising events. However, not all
teams will play.
- Start of games on March 23rd.
- April 4-13. No games or practices scheduled. Spring Break
- Practice fields come available for practices starting on
Monday Feb 25th.
- Possible pre-season games for Majors, Minors, Softball,
and AAA Baseball. Will coordinate with Managers and the Coaching Coordinator.
- Games: 10 for T-Ball and Rookie, 12 for AA, 14 for AAA, 16
Minors & Majors.
Equipment:
Report by Paul Spencer
- Additional breakaway bases have been and are being
purchased.
- Need storage container for WSF for WLL usage.
- Uniforms and hats have been ordered.
- Game balls have been ordered.
- Investigation of doing a used bat collection and exchange.
- Jr/Sr equipment needs, via Wendy McNamara
- Need to acquire some equipment.
- Estimate from Risans for nases, bats, catchers gear,
equipment bags, etc. for Jr/Sr. Approx $800.
- Can reduce estimate using some of the existing
equipment.
- Paul Spencer will compare needs with list of existing
equipment and help determine what may need to be acquired or purchased.
- Equipment pickup. Sunday, Feb
24th. 1:30pm at the NAF.
Motion: We, as a league, will
provide two basic league regulation bats, suitable for the appropriate level of
play, when specifically requested by any team manager. Motion Approved by voice
call, but not unanimous.
