Motioned and carried that all levels of managers this season should be given evaluations.

Coach Coordinator owns the evaluations.

Is there a process to monitor the coaches?

Incorporate the Umpires as part of the evaluation for the managers.

Motion to accept all managers as defined in the agenda for T-Ball through Major.

Discussion:

  • President needs to go back to District 8 for approval definition on drafting 12 year olds into major when exception for safety or skill.
  • A list will be established of approved coaches prior to player review.
  • Team names and assignments to be corrected offline.

Motion carried to accept all names as defined in writing for TBall to Major.

Fields

Northshore school fields meeting is Januray 15th.

Our biggest hurdle is the new insurance requirements required by Northshore School District. $2M liability versus $1M from years past.

Practice spots are available for makeup games.

List of Field rules for managers will be provided along with permits.

Player Agent and Member Reports

Softball

  • Enough for 4 minor teams and has 8 extra kids – Will bump to 5 teams
  • Majors has 3 teams and 7 extra teams – Will bump to 4 teams
  • Should have 1 Junior and 1 Senior team for Softball.
  • Estimates include Woodinville West players.
  • There will be 3 large Farm teams with 13 players.

Who is paying for Woodinville West players?  Sorenson fees? Other costs? WLL did not get paid for previous season and cannot fund softball by itself.

President to follow-up with President of Woodinville West.

Senior

Senior will be able to field more teams than last year.

Good turn out in 13 year old Junior ranks.

Senior teams still recruiting.

Player review will be Feb 9th at Timbercrest. 11-2pm with approximately 35 players.

Equipment

Everything on track.

Uniforms

Still need to order for 2 teams in Majors. This is a time sensitive item.

Scott, Darlene, and Kerry reviewed options.

Stick with polyester this season. Make transitions plan for end of year.

All Star uniform TBD, but the sample uniform was favorable.

Player Review

Review cards are in the mail.

5 per group, 10 minute intervals.

Big League Connection- Willows Business Park

15015 NE 90th St Bldg 3

Redmond,  WA

Saturday 9-3   lunch 12-12:30

Sunday 11-3

Vice President presented final player review logistics and plan. Plan was approved by board. Everyone excited about being indoors.

Board members signed up to staff the review stations: check-in, review, practice area, etc. WLL have a first aid kit on hand. Members remember to bring signs, paperwork, merchandise, etc.

Managers need to bring their own chairs. Tennis shoes for players are recommended.

Question was raised about releasing a player from a Majors team. The manager needs to release the player and inform the player agent. The player is then released back to player review pool and must go through player review again.

Meeting adjourned.
